Nel 1988 vince un premio speciale al Concorso nazionale di Letterature dialettali "Pompeo Calvia" di Sassari e riprende a lavorare con maggiore intensità ai racconti Le memorie del tempo di Lula e alla revisione della raccolta di poesie Recuida. Muore a Roma nel 1994. Antonino Mura Ena si rivela poeta in lingua sarda nel 1988 al Premio di letterature dialettali "Pompeo Calvia" di Sassari. Scrittore complesso e intellettuale di grande rilievo, con Recuida ci ha consegnato un autentico capolavoro. Ben quattro sillogi, Appentos e ammentos, Recuida, Cunsideros, Tejos contados, intorno alle quali ha lavorato per circa trent'anni. Un canzoniere che conclude una esistenza dedicata alla filosofia e alla letteratura e che propone la dolorosa esperienza del vivere seguendo un percorso conoscitivo rivolto a fissare forme e modalità essenziali dell'esistere. La poesia dà consolazione e, come l'amore, l'energia per sopravvivere e continuare a conoscere sino alla fine.
